In a pinch and need help on a lesson?
Williams Hands-on Science

Hi! I’m Craig Williams, and I’m glad you decided to check out my about me page.

I am the science teacher behind Williams Hands-On Science, and I love teaching science. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology from San Diego State University with an emphasis in Ecology and minor in Cultural Geography. I also have a Master of Education with emphasis in English as a Second Language, and I continue to learn.

My Life in the classroom

I’ve been teaching science since 2000, and I’m passionate about creating hands-on, engaging science activities that are phenomena driven, inquiry based, data driven, and follow the 3 dimensions of NGSS.

My teaching style is student-centered, inquiry based, and data driven. I believe that students learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process, and I use a variety of hands-on activities to help them make sense of the world around them.

I’ve been fortunate to receive several honors and awards for my teaching, including Teacher of the Year and the Best Practices Award from the San Diego County Office of Education. I’m also a graduate of San Diego State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Ecology and a minor in Cultural Geography.

My Life outside of school

In addition to teaching, I’m also a father of two boys. We love the beach lifestyle here in North County San Diego, and I enjoy surfing, bird watching, golf, and food and wine.

I’m excited to share my passion for science with others through Williams Hands On Science. I hope you’ll check out my website and resources, and I’d love to hear from you if you have any questions or suggestions.
