This resource will bring out the artistic side of your students AND help them understand periodic trends, atomic structure and bonding! When students are finished they present their models in order of the periodic table. This allows them to not only show off their hard work, but helps students understand periodic trends. I then hang them up on my classroom walls and refer to them throughout all my chemistry units. I direct their attention to the models on my walls countless times throughout the year to help students understand just about every aspect of chemistry!

• The periodic table orders elements horizontally by the number of protons in the atom’s nucleus and places those with similar chemical properties in columns. The repeating patterns of this table reflect patterns of outer electron states.(HS-PS1-1)
